The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Paediatric Health Care Assistant (HCA) at Barnet Hospital. You will join the Galaxy Paediatric nursing team within Integrated Children's Services, providing compassionate, patient-centred care for children and their families.

Under supervision of the Galaxy manager and band 6/7 colleagues, you will help assess needs, plan and deliver care, escalate emergencies, and participate in safeguarding and policy development to support

Responsabilités

To work as part of the Children's Nursing Team, being directed by the team leader / band 6 in prioritising day to day work and in managing case load.
To perform health care assistant procedures to a high standard in accordance with the Royal Free Clinical Practise Guidelines and policies.
To be competent in the recognition and management of life-threatening emergencies in children and be able to escalate accordingly.
To participate in child protection procedures including attendance at case conferences with the team leader / band 6.
To be responsible for highlighting and identification of child protection concerns to the team leader/ child protection lead and auctioning concerns through child protection procedures.
To maintain confidentiality and safekeeping of records.
To organise workload in line with clinical priorities.
