Job summary

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Band 6 Paediatric Senior Staff Nurse for the Paediatric Emergency Department at St. Mary’s Hospital, London.

You will deliver high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced department and support junior staff and leadership in delivering excellence. The role requires registered paediatric nursing with post-registration trauma/ED experience, a commitment to evidence-based practice, and flexibility to meet service needs.

Qualifications

Registered Sick Children’s Nurse
Graduate Nurse
APLS / EPLS course or equivalent
Minimum 2 years post-registration acute paediatric nursing
Minimum 12 months Paediatric Emergency care experience
Major Trauma Experience

Responsibilities

Deliver efficient and compassionate nursing care to patients attending the department.
Support the shift leader and senior nursing management in delivering excellence.
Minimise risk and maintain patient safety within scope of practice.
Practice evidence-based nursing and contribute to progression of emergency nursing.
Be flexible in working practices to meet service needs.
Endorse and support senior management in achieving national targets.
