Job description
About the role

We are excited to offer a full-time band 5 paediatric dietitian post in a small, dedicated community paediatric dietetic team covering the East Riding of Yorkshire. The service offers a flexible working pattern running virtual, telephone and face‑to‑face clinical sessions.

Working pattern

Work involves telephone and video consultations and close collaboration via MS Teams with our multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure safe and effective working.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide a high standard of evidence‑based therapeutic care within the specified paediatric dietetic service.
  • Manage a mixed clinical paediatric caseload in a variety of clinical settings, delegating to Associate Practitioners and Dietetic Assistants where appropriate.
  • Provide routine clinical intervention for conditions such as allergies, nutritional support, complex feeding, enteral feeding and nutrient deficiencies.
  • Deliver group education sessions as required.
  • Supervise students and provide training to A, B and C students in collaboration with local universities and dietetic colleagues.
