A leading healthcare provider in the UK is looking for a Paediatric Consultant in Emergency Medicine. This role involves providing comprehensive clinical services and participating in teaching and clinical governance activities. The ideal candidate should have relevant qualifications including CCT in paediatrics and possess excellent communication and organisational skills. This full-time position offers a salary range of £109,725 to £145,478 per annum, inclusive of London weighting.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic candidate to join our Paediatric Emergency Department and a Consultant in Paediatric Emergency Medicine.
This role is offered at full time in the first instance, but we welcome applications for part time and job sharing options.
General Responsibilities as Consultant Paediatrician
The following is not an exhaustive or exclusive list of the duties of a consultant. The appointee is expected to:
Provide senior clinician services to paediatrics and ED as per job plan or as agreed within the Trust, and as required when on call.
Work with consultant colleagues and nursing staff to ensure efficient use of Trust's resources and contribute actively to clinical governance in the department and to development of quality enhancement projects in the unit.
Provide senior clinician services to area of special interest as per the job plan or as agreed within the Trust.
Show flexibility and undertake different appropriate clinical tasks within allocated DCC sessions at the request of the clinical manager, as the need arises.
Actively participate in the Unit's Teaching Programme and undertake supervision, teaching and training of medical trainees and other multi‑professional staff, in line with guidance from the relevant Royal Colleges or specialty bodies.
Actively participate in clinical guidelines development, audit and CPD.

The 0‑19 service aims to improve pathways and partnerships with services in the hospital and deliver excellent care for the children and families.
