Job summary

The Best Connection is seeking Packers for a busy site in Chichester, on a permanent basis. You will work on production lines packing fresh produce, load lines, and assist with palletising. A flexible approach to day and night shifts is required, with own transport due to location.

London region boundaries apply for the site; shifts run 4 on/4 off days and 4 on/3 off nights. Previous experience in a chilled environment is desirable, and candidates must follow health and safety procedures and

Job description

The Best Connection are currently seeking Packers to work for our busy client, based in Chichester, on a permanent basis.

Duties to include, but not limited to;

• Working along a production line, packing fresh produce
• Loading the production lines
• Working on the end of production lines to box and pack finished products
• Changing over machines and operating them safely and efficiently
• Working within the warehouse to assist with packing and palletising
• Quality checking the fresh produce to ensure standards are met
• Reading labels to follow instructions
• Ensuring the area is clean and tidy, free from rubbish, and compliant with Food Hygiene requirements
• Adhering to health and safety guidelines

Who is the person;

• Previous experience working within a chilled environment desirable
• Able to work in shift patterns
• Method of transport is advised, due to remote location of site
• Must be able to work on your own initiative and part of a team
• Ability to interpret products and customer requirements

Successful candidates are required to work in accordance with all health and safety procedures and company policies, from the beginning of the process, through to the final product.

Own transport is required for this position due to the location.

Day shifts and night shifts available!

Day shifts: 6am - 6pm, in a shift pattern of 4 days on, 4 days off (4 on / 4 off)

Night shifts: 6pm - 6am, in a shift pattern of 4 nights on, 3 nights off (4 on / 3 off)

The hourly pay rate is £13.26 per hour, increasing to £14.26 per hour from 2130.
