We're working with a well-established food manufacturing site in the East Midlands looking for a Packaging Technologist to own packaging on site - from feasibility through to launch, and everything in between.

This is a hands‑on, site‑based role. Not a desk‑only packaging job. Not a “someone else signs it off” role.

What You'll Be Doing

• Introducing and changing packaging from feasibility to delist
• Completing NPA, Recipe Professor and Foods Connected sign‑offs
• Artwork checks, redesign support and pass‑on‑press approvals
• Coordinating transit and internal trials
• Managing day‑to‑day packaging issues with suppliers
• Raising and managing SNCs
• Tracking packaging waste for EPR compliance
• Maintaining the site packaging database
• Supporting customer and third‑party audits
• In short: if it's packaging‑related, it lands with you.

What They're Looking For

• Experience in a packaging or technical role (food manufacturing preferred)
• Strong packaging knowledge
• Food & Drink Labelling or Packaging Technology qualification (desirable)
• Organised, practical, and comfortable managing your own workload

The Practical Stuff

• Site‑based role (East Midlands)
• Monday‑Friday, 08:30-17:00
• Permanent
• Must live within a commutable distance of site
• Some national / occasional international travel
