Packaging Technician - Permanent Position

Eisai is a leading research‑based pharmaceutical organisation with an extensive portfolio across the oncology, neurology and pain therapy areas. Overview

You will operate the designated packaging equipment and systems to produce product that meets pre‑defined quality attributes and production schedules at the EML Production facility in Hatfield, and ensure the efficient operation of all packaging operations.

Duties
  • Maintain a safe working environment for self and other Eisai employees, reporting all near‑miss incidents and accidents in accordance with procedures.
  • Assure the quality of products manufactured and released through adherence to all procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operations and reduce cost, progressing them through continuous improvement and demand innovation initiatives.
  • Integrate Eisai’s philosophy of HHC into daily activities.
  • Understand and meet stakeholder and customer expectations through effective communication.
  • Align performance with personal and Eisai objectives, demonstrating behaviours and competencies.
Qualifications and Experience
  • NVQ level 3 in Manufacturing, Engineering or a related field.
  • GCSE (C or above) in Maths, English and Science.
  • Bonus: HND/NHND in packaging technology.
  • Ideally, packaging engineering knowledge and experience or substantial pharmaceutical packaging line experience.
  • Good mechanical aptitude, accuracy and documentation skills.
  • Significant experience operating automated packaging equipment.
  • Computer literate (MS Office suite & SAP).
  • A growth mindset with a focus on professional self‑development.
  • A positive attitude, willing to focus energy on teamwork, emotional leadership, extreme ownership, discretionary effort, positive energy and resilience.
  • Good leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Developed problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and an aptitude for neat/clear documentation.
