pladis Foods Limited is hiring a Packer based in Carlisle. You will manually pack products to specification, assist with feeding biscuits, and help maintain high production standards on a Monday–Friday 2pm–10pm shift.

Qualifications

• Basic numerical and literacy knowledge required.
• Manual dexterity required for packing tasks.
• Basic communication skills to interact with team.
• Ability to recognize basic problems on the line.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Excellent team working skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manually pack products within specifications (includes bending, lifting, stretching).
• Visually check for foreign matter / hazards.
• Ensure quality of biscuits being packed is within product specifications.
• Ensure adherence to all quality and safety standards.
• Work to a high standard, enabling plants to achieve planned output.
• Report any problems to Packing Supervisor.
• Ensure housekeeping and hygiene standards are maintained.
• Support the Supervisors in the introduction and support of any improvement initiatives.
• Provide a co-ordinated link with all production processes on the line.
• Minimise Waste and re-cycle all product effectively.
