Job summary

DS Smith in the UK is seeking a Design for Innovation Specialist to drive the innovation agenda across the UK North Cluster. You will manage programmes and projects, deliver value through continuous improvement, and collaborate with customers to present solutions.

You will work remotely with travel to customer sites as needed, supporting sales opportunities with technical requirements, and contributing to sustainability and digital initiatives within the DS Smith Innovation program.

Qualifications

• Excellent project management track record.
• Experience in packaging industry, preferably in a technical/design role.
• Strong communication, presentation and organisational skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving.
• Ability to develop and execute alternative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver innovation programmes across the UK North Cluster.
• Drive the Innovation Agenda through value‑based projects and continuous improvement.
• Support Sales during opportunities by scoping technical requirements and presenting solutions.
• Onboard new business to ensure we get it right first time.
• Provide technical support to customers remotely and on site as needed.
• Deliver the innovation agenda to develop commercially viable solutions aligned to insights and customer challenges.
