Job summary

Stannah is seeking a Packaging Engineer to lead packaging strategy for the Home Accessibility Manufacturing division in Andover. You will influence packaging design, governance and cost efficiency across an international organisation, coordinating with Engineering, Operations, Procurement and Sustainability teams.

The role focuses on ensuring compliance with PPWR and UK Packaging EPR, driving sustainability, and delivering packaging improvements with cross-functional stakeholders in multiple

Qualifications

• Experience within packaging engineering, packaging development, packaging compliance or a related packaging-focused role.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials, transit packaging and packaging specifications.
• Understanding of packaging regulations, including PPWR, UK Packaging EPR or similar compliance frameworks.
• Experience managing packaging projects, suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Knowledge of packaging sustainability, lifecycle assessment, reusable packaging or packaging procurement.
• Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in Packaging Engineering, Materials, Logistics or a related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and governance of packaging standards, policies and specifications across the Group.
• Drive packaging design and optimisation projects, working with Engineering, Operations, suppliers and packaging manufacturers.
• Ensure packaging compliance with PPWR, UK Packaging EPR and relevant international regulations.
• Manage packaging data, testing and supplier assurance processes to support compliant and effective packaging solutions.
• Identify and deliver opportunities to improve sustainability, product protection, operational efficiency and packaging costs.
• Provide packaging expertise and guidance to stakeholders across the business and international subsidiaries.
