Job summary

Haleon plc. invites an undergraduate to join as a Packaging Development Designer, supporting the packaging development of our products and evaluating sustainability, consumer touchpoints and benchmarks.

You will contribute to concept creation, CAD work, prototyping and consumer research within cross-functional teams across Commercial, Supply Chain and R&D.

Qualifications

• Must be currently studying for an Undergraduate Degree or Combined Masters in Industrial Design, Product Design, or Engineering.
• If Undergraduate, must be in 2nd year (England) or 3rd year (Scotland) or Integrated Masters with a year in industry.
• Role Start Date: 28th June 2027

• Support multiple project teams to develop new sustainable packaging solutions.
• Concept creation and development including sketching, CAD, renders, prototyping and consumer research.
• Design and carry out experiments to characterise packaging and product performance.

As a Packaging Development Designer

you are responsible for ensuring these requirements are met or exceeded and Haleon continues to deliver superior sustainable products to consumers and experts.

Within this role you will be supporting the packaging development of our products, providing analysis and evaluation of:

• Product/packaging usage to include consumer experience and touchpoints.
• Benchmarking our competition.
• Sustainability profile of the packaging.

Education Requirements

You must be currently studying for your Undergraduate Degree or Combined Masters in Industrial Design, Product Design, or Engineering disciplines.

If you are studying for your Undergraduate Degree you must be in your 2nd year of study (England) or 3rd year of study (Scotland) or an Integrated Masters Degree and seeking to complete a year in industry in partnership with your university. Please ensure the role is suitable for your placement year.
