Job summary

Blank Space Recruitment is supporting a well-known retail brand by recruiting a junior to mid-weight Packaging Designer for their in-house design team in the West Midlands.

You will design complex and technical packaging labels for a wide range of products, create print-ready artwork, and collaborate with product development. Proactive shoots and art direction may be involved for new launches.

Qualifications

• Experience in packaging design within food, beverage or FMCG sectors.
• Proficient in the full Adobe Suite, especially Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
• Excellent attention to detail and a collaborative, independent work style.
• Driver's license and own vehicle required.

The Company

This privately owned retail business specialise in food products within the FMCG space and have a multitude of nationwide stores. From frozen to fresh products they have a fantastic brand presence and excellent market share, combined with a family run business culture that is prevalent today across their head office departments. Due to growth we are now supporting this lovely company with the hire of a junior - mid-weight Packaging Designer to join their small yet dynamic team.

The Role

This is a super varied role, where you will work across a wide range of products to design complex and technical packaging labels and eye catching designs. From creating labels, to artwork for print as well as making technical amends you will also have the opportunity to support the Lead Designer in creative concepts with the product development team. Some photo shoots and art direction will also be involved for new product launches.

About You

We are seeking a bright and ambitious designer at Junior to Mid-weight level with experience ideally in packaging design within food, beverage or FMCG sectors and retail will also be considered. You will be highly proficient in the full Adobe Suite - mainly using Illustrator, InDesign and PhotoShop. This is a collaborative role where you will also work independently and have an enthusiastic attitude combined with excellent attention to detail. Drivers license and own vehicle needed.
