Administrator to the DFO and Leadership Team Required in Wokingham

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Administrator to join the Leadership Team at a warm and welcoming independent day and boarding school located on the southern outskirts of Wokingham, Berkshire.

The School

Setting: The school is set in 20 acres of landscaped lawns and majestic woodland.

Ethos: The school operates with a Christian ethos, welcoming pupils from all faiths and backgrounds.

Pupils: The school is currently at full capacity with 380 pupils and provides a distinctly academic education tailored to individual needs. It is small enough for everyone to be seen, valued, and counted.

Provision: The school is co‑educational, catering to pupils aged 11 to 18 years. It has strong traditions in music, drama, art, debating, community outreach, and sport.

The Role

The Administrator will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Director of Finance and Operations (DFO) in their role as Clerk to the Governors, as well as the wider Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Governing Body Support: working with the Clerk to the Governors to prepare agendas, producing and distributing agenda papers and minutes, and maintaining the action tracker.
  • Governor Membership and Training: maintaining a database of Governing Body members, assisting with induction and training programmes for new Governors, and coordinating appropriate courses and training.
  • Administrative Support: providing administrative support to the Leadership Team, which includes managing safeguarding information and minuting safeguarding meetings.
  • General Duties: providing support in the School Office one day a week and covering the School Secretary’s absence.

  • Substantial experience as an administrator at a senior level.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Previous experience of organising meetings and diary management.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Details

Hours: Part‑time, permanent role; 35 hours per week (09:00–17:00, Monday to Friday) for 38 weeks per year.

Salary: £22,703 per annum (£26,831 FTE).

Start Date: November 2025.
