Personal Assistant – Bursar & Deputy Head (Futures & Communities)

Required as soon as possible, we are seeking to appoint a dynamic, motivated and personable Personal Assistant to the Bursar and Deputy Head (Futures & Communities) from January 2026. This is a key position within the school, acting as the first point of contact for a number of internal stakeholders and external organisations/agencies who deal with financial and operational matters relating to the school. The successful candidate will report jointly to the Bursar and Deputy Head (Futures & Communities) and will also liaise closely with the other PAs and the clerk to the governors. This is a busy role managing a wide range of aspects of school life and of international business, but this is a warm and supportive working culture and the right candidate will share these values.

  • Have experience of PA work at a senior level
  • Ideally have some experience within an educational environment or a marketing department
  • Be skilled in managing relationships with discretion, especially with senior colleagues and external stakeholders
  • Be a confident, assured communicator, both in written and verbal form
  • Be able to demonstrate excellent IT skills (MS Office) – must be very comfortable working with spreadsheets in Excel and producing minutes and action tables in Microsoft Word
  • Be well organised, able to juggle tasks simultaneously without losing attention to detail
  • Be comfortable working in a busy, reactive environment
  • Have a personable but business‑like manner with an excellent work ethic
  • Have the ability to build strong relationships at all levels
  • Be fully in sympathy with the aims and objectives of King's College School
