Job description

We are looking for a proactive, highly organised, service focussed individual to fulfil a crucial role within our Restructuring and Insolvency Team. This position is providing direct support to the Head of Team and Equity Partner of the firm. Based in our Birmingham office and reporting to the head of the team, your work will require:

Responsibilities
  • Proactive diary management for allocated Partner and ability to understand where priorities need to move to in dynamic firm.
  • Liaising with the Head of Team and Partners to coordinate distribution of administrative work across the team.
  • Administrative support for allocated Partner, including minute taking, drafting and formatting of letters, documents, and forms. Some document production will be for presentations/strategy papers/pitches so appropriate IT knowledge required.
  • Active management of the team's monthly fee estimation and billing processes.
  • Working with the HoT to manage holiday, absences and any other people management related matters; including appraisals, coaching as well as performance related issues.
  • Recruitment and selection of new support staff within the team.
  • Managing case files; including opening, closing, storage and retrieval while ensuring all files are compliant.
Qualifications
  • Experience within a legal or professional services environment, and an understanding of the role of HoT and an ability to communicate well with other senior members of the firm.
  • Experience in case management systems would be desirable.
  • The desire for continuous learning and professional development and a strong ability to deliver solutions to problems.
  • Good IT knowledge; including Microsoft Office suite and Teams, letter writing and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated history within administrative or PA role.
  • Willingness to visit other office locations as required.
