Job summary

Ayrshire Independent Living Network is seeking a Casual Personal Assistant / Support Worker to assist a young woman in her own home in Priestland. Shifts are 1hr 20mins in the morning, with earliest start at 8.00am and latest finish by 12.00pm. Hours are casual and as required, providing flexible support in a domestic setting.

You will be part of a small team delivering daily personal care. Experience with MS/Diabetes is helpful; moving and handling training can be arranged.

Qualifications

• Experience of support work preferred.
• Knowledge of MS and Diabetes.
• Moving & Handling training required.
• Two references and a PVG disclosure required.
• Six-month probationary period.

Responsibilities

• Morning personal care including showering and grooming.
• Assist with bed making, meal prep and fluids.
• Assist with footwear and basic everyday tasks.

Personal Assistant / Support Worker

Details

Personal Assistant / Support Worker required to support a young woman in her own home. The employer lives with MS, Diabetes and other health issues. You will be part of a team of Personal Assistants who support the employer with her personal care on a daily basis Monday to Friday. Hours are flexible - earliest start 8.00am / latest 12.00pm - to be discussed at interview.

Duties

You will provide support in the mornings with personal care including assistance with showering / hair washing / assistance with footwear.

Assistance with making up bed and meal prep and fluids. Opening tins, jars, bottles etc.

Experience / Qualifications Required

Experience of support work preferred as well as knowledge of MS & Diabetes. Moving & Assisting training required – this can be arranged by the employer if not already in place.

• This position is subject to a 6 month probationary period.
