Job summary

Purple DPSS is seeking a dedicated Personal Assistant/Support Worker for J, a 16-year-old with hydrocephalus, blindness, and complex needs. You will provide in-home support initially to help with daily routines and build independence, with opportunities to accompany him on community activities.

The role is on-site in Whittlesey (PE7), permanent, and includes DBS checks, Right to Work verification, and references. Pay is £13 per hour for up to 75 hours across school holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

• DBS check required
• Right to Work and references will be needed

Responsibilities

• Support will take place in the home environment initially until you get to know J and his family with a view to getting out and about in the community, building independence skills.
• Some prompting to use the toilet and washing hands will be needed; J may occasionally need support to clean himself properly.
