PA to Senior Leadership (Temporary Contract - Hybrid, Birmingham)

Location: Birmingham (B2 4AA) - Hybrid working, 3 days onsite

Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week (usual hours 8:30am - 5pm, with some flexibility)

Contract: Until May 2026 (potential for extension)

Pay Rate: £15.03 per hour (paid on a weekly basis)

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive PA to provide professional support to senior leaders within a busy and fast-paced government directorate.

In this key role, you will play a vital part in ensuring two Deputy Directors can work effectively and strategically - managing their time, priorities, and communications with efficiency and discretion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage complex diaries, balancing competing priorities and scheduling strategic meetings.
• Act as the first point of contact for senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.
• Proactively manage busy inboxes - triaging, delegating, and following up on actions.
• Organise and prepare for meetings, including booking rooms, arranging logistics, and compiling meeting packs and background materials.
• Take accurate minutes and provide secretariat support where required.
• Book travel and coordinate wider team logistics.
• Support internal communications, handle sensitive information, and manage official correspondence.
• Provide general administrative support to the wider team when needed.
• Occasional travel to London for team events/meetings

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• A proactive, adaptable approach with sound judgement and attention to detail.
• Experience handling sensitive information with integrity and professionalism.

Successful candidates will be required to undergo a Basic DBS check and provide three years of references.
