Job Overview

Planning Engineer – London (Hybrid). Join Turner & Townsend, a global professional services company dedicated to delivering high‑impact infrastructure, real estate, and energy projects.

In this role you will support contract and scheduling activities, report progress, and maintain interface accuracy, while ensuring compliance with NEC contract processes and SOX control responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and periodically report Level 1 and Level 2 schedules.
  • Support project teams with planning responsibilities linked to contract management and reporting requirements.
  • Participate in project and programme planning and progress meetings.
  • Identify and maintain programme/project milestone and schedule interface activities.
Main Challenges
  • Manage planning and scheduling processes for contracts and contractors.
  • Support programme progress and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date and accurate schedule interface requirements.
  • Adhere to NEC contract processes for schedule data management and submissions.
  • Ensure awareness of commitments and avoid breaches by managing requirements.
Qualifications
  • Degree qualified in a construction‑related subject (preferred).
  • Experience performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, and analysis.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication.
  • Proficient with PC operating systems and basic software applications.
  • Good working knowledge of Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Office.
  • Intermediate knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start‑up processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent.
  • Preferred location: London, UK; Dublin, Ireland.
