P3M Specialist - Systems

This role provides essential technical and administrative support for the Project Management (PM) community, focusing on a range of tools and systems such as SAP, Oracle Primavera P6, ARM, and EVMS. Responsibilities include maintaining data quality and compliance in SAP, developing and delivering training, coordinating the implementation of new tools, and managing stakeholder relationships. The position also involves leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT), supporting system audits, and administering project accounts, all while contributing to the ongoing improvement of the Project Systems website.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical and administrator support to the PM community as required for each of the PM tools.
  • Produce Project Definitions and Work Centres in SAP when requested by the Business
  • Maintain compliance in Project Systems (PS) and Sales and Distribution (S&D) modules in SAP by data quality rules
  • Development of training material, coordination and delivery of System training courses to meet business needs
  • Tool selection, evaluation, testing, and full lifecycle deployment across the estate.
  • Portfolio-wide stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and reporting.
  • Lead and coordinate from a PMO and Systems perspective with all external stakeholders, and be point of contact with Vendors to resolve System issues
  • Lead role in UAT and rollout of new systems and tools across complex environments
  • Provide support to any upgrade or improvement project connected to any of the five tool sets
  • Change request impact assessments and facilitation of business continuity planning
  • Administer and create Oracle Primavera P6, ARM and EVMS For Project accounts
  • Ownership of system governance, BAU transition and assurance
  • Support improvement of the Project Systems website
Qualifications
  • Skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Ability to interface and communicate with people across the Submarines business and external Vendors
  • Proactive, accountable, hands-on and able to work on own initiative
  • Knowledge of tools like Oracle Primavera P6 / ARM / Earned Value Management/ experience of the PS and S&D SAP modules
  • Demonstratable experience in training delivery
  • Project Planning and Controls (PPC), or the APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) desirable or working towards
  • A willingness to become an associate or full member of the APM
