Job Description

Due to growing UK demand for our Digital services, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Consultant to lead the delivery of advanced reporting and data analysis solutions within P3M environments, while playing a key role in shaping and enhancing our digital capability.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Consultant, with a maturing background in digital transformation, who can apply their expertise in P3M Principles, reporting and dashboard development—particularly using Microsoft‑based tools such as Power BI and Excel. A good understanding of data structures and data modelling will also be valuable in helping to implement and integrate applications and data that support effective project management and controls. You will be expected to lead client engagements, mentor junior team members, and contribute to the development of best practices and innovation within our Infrastructure Digital team.

The Role
  • Lead the development and implementation of digital controls solutions aligned to P3M frameworks.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to define reporting strategies and translate complex requirements into actionable solutions.
  • Design and build advanced dashboards and reporting tools using Microsoft Power BI, Excel, and other platforms.
  • Oversee the integration of data from multiple systems, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and performance.
  • Develop and maintain scalable data models and structures to support enterprise‑level reporting.
  • Provide expert guidance to clients and internal teams on data quality, governance, and reporting best practices.
  • Mentor and support junior consultants, fostering capability growth within the team.
  • Contribute to thought leadership, innovation, and continuous improvement across our digital services.
Qualifications
Essential
  • 5+ years’ experience in data/reporting analyst roles with demonstrable experience in project or programme environments.
  • Strong understanding of P3M principles and project controls methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills, with the ability to interpret and present data effectively.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Power BI and Excel (including macros and automation).
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing data models and reporting frameworks.
  • Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience delivering to executive audiences.
  • Experience leading work packages and mentoring junior colleagues.
Desirable
  • Experience in infrastructure sectors such as Defence, Energy & Natural Resources, or Transport & Utilities.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar.
  • Knowledge of PMO functions, data governance, and enterprise reporting environments.
  • Programming experience in SQL, DAX, or VBA.
  • Relevant certifications such as PRINCE2, APM, Microsoft Power BI, or equivalent.
