Job description

Are you a driven finance professional with a passion for process excellence and stakeholder collaboration?

We're working with a leading international organisation seeking an experienced P2P Lead to take ownership of their Purchase to Pay operations across multiple regions.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, complex environment and enjoys driving process improvement, managing stakeholder relationships, and leading a high-performing shared services function.

The Role

As the P2P Lead, you'll act as the primary point of contact for all P2P operational matters - ensuring smooth day-to-day performance, managing escalations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across accounts payable, supplier management, and procurement processes.

You'll play a key role in aligning P2P operations with broader business objectives, including working capital optimisation, sustainability, and transformation programmes. This is a hands‑on, visible role that offers the opportunity to influence and shape the future of the P2P function within a global setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee all aspects of Purchase to Pay operations, from supplier onboarding through to invoice and payment processing.
  • Act as the main escalation point for P2P‑related issues, providing expert guidance and resolution support.
  • Drive efficiency, standardisation, and automation across P2P processes.
  • Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to deliver process improvements and implement new technologies.
  • Support direct and indirect tax reporting and act as a subject‑matter expert for tax‑related P2P queries.
  • Lead and mentor the shared services team, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of all P2P activities.
  • Manage and review KPIs, SLAs, and supplier relationships to ensure consistent high performance.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to deliver transformational change and system enhancements.
  • Promote best practices in compliance, internal controls, and regional regulations.
About You

You'll be a confident communicator with a strong track record in P2P management within a large, fast‑paced, and often international business environment. You're proactive, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working cross‑functionally to deliver measurable results.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Demonstrable experience in a senior P2P or Accounts Payable leadership role.
  • Proven success within a complex, Pan‑European or global corporate environment.
  • Strong understanding of end‑to‑end P2P processes, including Travel & Expense management.
  • Experience with SAP and advanced Excel skills.
  • Background in managing offshore or shared service teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
  • Track record of driving operational improvements and delivering efficiency gains.
