Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is seeking an experienced scrap burner for a long-term demolition project in Luton. The role suits someone with oxy propane burner experience and relevant certifications. You will work Monday to Friday, 7am-5pm, around 50 hours per week, with potential overtime and ongoing support from the agency.

Key duties include cutting scrap metal safely, operating the oxy-propane burning gun, and maintaining site safety. A valid CSCS card and welding qualification are required.

Qualifications

• Experience operating oxy-propane burners on demolition or scrap sites.
• CSCS card and welding NVQ or equivalent qualification required.
• Previous demolition or scrap burning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cut and process scrap metal safely with oxy-propane equipment.
• Operate oxy-propane burning gun per site procedures.
• Work safely within demolition, scrap or recycling environments.
• Follow health and safety procedures and risk assessments.
• Maintain equipment and report defects or safety concerns.
• Collaborate effectively with the on-site team.

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting an experienced

Oxy Propane Scrap Burner to join a demolition contractor on a long-term project in

Luton.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced

scrap burner, demolition burner or oxy burner with the relevant qualifications and site experience to secure ongoing work with a respected contractor.

What We Offer

Up to £22 per hour, depending on experience.

• Monday to Friday working pattern.

7am-5pm shifts.

50 hours per week.

Key Duties

• Cut and process scrap metal safely using oxy-propane equipment.
• Operate an oxy-propane burning gun in line with site procedures.
• Work safely within a demolition, scrap or recycling environment.
• Follow all relevant health and safety procedures and risk assessments.
• Maintain equipment and report any defects or safety concerns.
• Work effectively as part of a wider site team.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a
