Job Description
  • Serve as the owner's dedicated representative throughout all project phases: planning, design, procurement, construction, inspections, and final close-out.
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders on behalf of the owner; coordinating and overseeing project team activities.
  • Manage project budgets and costs: track spending, control costs, evaluate change orders, and ensure financial compliance with approved budgets.
  • Oversee and monitor project schedules, ensure timely completion of deliverables, manage milestones, and handle scheduling conflicts.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, review work quality and compliance with design specifications, building codes, and safety standards.
  • Review, negotiate, and manage contracts with contractors, vendors, and consultants, ensuring terms align with owner's interests.
  • Facilitate clear communication between all project stakeholders and the owner: maintain documentation, lead meetings, provide progress reports, and flag potential risks/issues early.
  • Serve as the owner's advocate: protect owner's interests, mitigate risks, and guide decision‑making through all phases.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred) ideally in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate Development, or a related field.
  • Substantial experience (5‑10+ years preferred) managing mid‑ to large‑scale commercial or multifamily residential construction projects ideally with prior experience as an owner's representative, developer's construction manager, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, materials, building codes/regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency with project management tools/systems, contract administration, budgeting, scheduling, change order management, and documentation practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, and interpersonal skills; able to serve as effective point‑of‑contact among owners, architects, contractors, and vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously, make sound decisions, anticipate risks, and proactively resolve issues.
