Job summary

SSE plc is seeking a Linesperson for a permanent, full-time onsite role in the South of England. You will join a team performing overhead line inspections and maintenance on 33kV & 132kV networks, with accommodation available if you live outside the area.

Applicants should have electrical experience, field-work proficiency, and a valid UK driving licence, plus SSE or equivalent authorisations and/or Tower Rescue training. Overtime is available.

Qualifications

• Electrical experience with a strong practical background.
• Overhead power lines and tower structures experience.
• DNO Operational Authorisations or Tower Rescue training.
• Outdoor work in all weather conditions.
• Full, valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out overhead line inspections and maintenance as part of a team.
• Work on 33kV and 132kV overhead line networks on construction projects.
• Prioritise safety and act as a safety culture ambassador. Respond to emergencies.
