Job description

Pertemps Wolverhampton is recruiting an experienced Overhead Crane Operator for a busy engineering and manufacturing client in Wolverhampton. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled crane operators or heavy lifting operatives looking for a long-term, stable role.

The role offers a competitive rate of £13.00 per hour, working Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 16:30, with a temporary to permanent contract and an immediate start available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate overhead cranes safely to move raw materials, components, and finished products
• Load and unload heavy materials in a manufacturing or production environment
• Supply production teams with materials to the correct locations
• Inspect crane equipment and report any faults to maintain safety standards
• Follow all health & safety procedures and lifting regulations

Essential Experience & Skills:

• Valid overhead crane operator licence / certification - mandatory
• Hands-on experience operating overhead cranes in manufacturing, engineering, or production settings
• Strong understanding of lifting, rigging, and load handling
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
• Team player with good communication skills

Ideal candidates will have experience as an Overhead Crane Operator, Crane Driver, Lifting Operative, Manufacturing FLT Operator, Heavy Lifting Operator, or Production Crane Operator.
