Job summary

A leading educational support organization in the UK is seeking a qualified Tutor to provide 1:1 support in Maths, English, and Science to students out of mainstream education. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months of tutoring experience, particularly with SEND pupils, and hold QTS or equivalent qualifications. This ongoing role is available ASAP in Kirkby.

The Opportunity

Prospero Teaching are partnered with Local Councils and SEND teams throughout the UK. We provide educational support to individuals who are currently out of mainstream education, those seeking additional support, and individuals with SEND. We are currently looking for a Tutor with Qualified Teacher Status to provide support in the core subjects of Maths, English and Science to pupils who are not currently accessing mainstream education.

Experience, Training and Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months tutoring experience
• Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
• UK classroom teaching experience
• Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box

To be eligible for this role

• Hold the right to work in the UK
• Have QTS OR equivalent
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child-related references
