Job summary

New Way Tuition Ltd is seeking an Outreach Tutor to support students aged EYFS to Year 11, delivering one-to-one and small group sessions in English, Maths, PSHE and mentoring.

Tutors visit homes, local libraries or schools, creating a safe learning environment and building confidence with learners. The role emphasises patience, energy, and a genuine passion for helping young people succeed.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children or young people.
  • Strong understanding of English and Maths.
  • Experience supporting students with SEND or additional needs.
  • A current Enhanced DBS.

The Role

As an Outreach Tutor, you'll play a key role in supporting students aged EYFS to Year 11, helping them rebuild confidence and reconnect with education.

You'll deliver one-to-one or small group sessions in subjects such as:

  • English
  • Maths
  • PSHE
  • Interventions and mentoring

Sessions typically take place in students' homes, local libraries, or schools, creating a safe and comfortable environment for learning.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for tutors who bring energy, patience, and passion to their work.

Essential:
  • Previous experience working with children or young people
  • Strong understanding of English and Maths
  • Experience supporting students with SEND or additional needs
  • A current Enhanced DBS
Desirable (but not essential):
  • QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or a relevant degree in Education, English, Maths, or a related subject
