About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Outreach Family Support Worker to join our Early Help team. You will take responsibility for a caseload of children and families, providing high-quality, home-based and outreach support using a 'whole family' approach. The role focuses on early intervention, preventing the need for statutory involvement, and ensuring families can access appropriate universal services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver targeted support to children and families across age ranges (0-25) in line with identified needs.

  • Support parents and carers in developing practical parenting strategies that promote positive relationships.

  • Undertake home visits and maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all casework, assessments, and progress.

  • Collaborate with social workers, schools, and partner agencies to improve outcomes for children and young people.

  • Contribute to team meetings, reviews, and planning sessions, ensuring the highest standards of professional practice.

  • Promote safeguarding and equality of opportunity in all areas of work.

  • Participate in supervision and professional development opportunities to continually enhance practice.

About You

You will be an empathetic and motivated professional, confident in engaging with children, young people, and their families. The ideal candidate will have:

Essential
  • NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education, NND, or Health and Social Care qualification (or equivalent).

  • Experience delivering outreach or home-based family support.

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within multi-agency partnerships.

  • Strong record-keeping and communication skills.
