Job summary

Nuffield Health Brighton Hospital is seeking a part-time Healthcare Assistant in Outpatients. The role is 25 hours per week with weekend work. You should hold an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care and have relevant experience in an acute hospital or care setting.

You will support a range of clinics, assist consultants and nurses with procedures, and help keep day-to-day operations running smoothly. This is a patient-focused, team-based role with a strong commitment to care quality.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is required.
• Experience in an acute hospital or care setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and patient-care focus are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist colleagues across Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Neurosurgery, Plastics Surgery, ENT, Cardiology, GP Services, Psychiatry and Physiotherapy.
• Help ensure day-to-day clinic operations run smoothly.
• Support consultants and nurses with procedures like dressings and wound care.
• Contribute to patient comfort and safety.
• Maintain IT records and assist with clinic coordination.
