We are looking for a proactive and flexible clinical support professional to assist nurses and consultants in delivering exceptional outpatient and pre-assessment care across our Outpatient Diagnostic and Treatment Centre.

Support registered nurses in the assessment of care and participate without direct supervision in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for patients attending the Outpatient Diagnostic and Treatment Centre.
Handle client and consultant requests efficiently and professionally.
Duties may include (but are not limited to):
Chaperoning during patient consultations
Assisting consultants with injections and minor procedures
Wound assessment and dressing changes
Removal of casts
Venipuncture, MRSA screening, pre-op screening (including ECG)
Application of splints/supports/braces
Assisting registered nurses with more complex procedures
Perform mandatory daily and weekly checks to ensure compliance with clinical governance standards.
Ensure accurate records are entered into the patient information system.
Monitor stock levels, assist with stock usage sheets, and complete weekly stock takes.
Maintain cleanliness and day-to-day upkeep of consulting and treatment rooms.
Work flexibly within a dynamic environment, responding to changing service needs.
Participate in the evaluation of complaints, incidents, and accidents.
Adhere to and remain aware of organisational clinical policies and guidelines.
Liaise closely with Front of House staff to manage client expectations and communicate delays.
Call patients to arrange pre-op assessments or request relevant documents.
Book ECHO or other appointments as requested by the Pre-op team.
Undertake any other duties as required by the line manager.
Assist in the main outpatient department when pre-op is closed or not fully booked.
Previous experience in a clinical or healthcare support role, ideally within an outpatient setting.
Knowledge of basic clinical procedures such as wound care, venipuncture, and pre-operative screening (including ECG).
Ability to assist with minor procedures and provide chaperone support during consultations.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and stock management.
Understanding of clinical governance standards and commitment to maintaining compliance.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with patients, consultants, and Front of House staff.
Ability to work flexibly in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing service needs.
Proficient in using patient information systems and booking appointments.
A proactive, professional approach with a focus on delivering first-class patient care.
