Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking Postal Delivery Drivers in Sunderland on a temporary basis. The role starts towards the end of October, paying £13.69 per hour with varied shifts Monday to Friday and weekend availability.

Duties include delivering letters and parcels, navigating with a handheld device, and walking up to eight miles daily. Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence (6 points max, clean licence preferred).

Qualifications

• Customer service skills and ability to work independently outdoors.
• Excellent time management and customer service skills.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Start your shift at the local delivery office to sort and load deliveries.
• Use a handheld device for signature capture and route navigation.
• Deliver letters and parcels by foot and/or vehicle – walking up to 8 miles per day.
• Lift and carry mail bags (up to 16kg) and parcels (up to 20kg).
