Job summary

Gi Group Holdings Recruitment Limited is hiring Meter Readers in your area to collect data from gas, electricity and water meters for both residential and commercial sites. You will use a handheld device and provide excellent customer service while ensuring readings are accurately recorded.

Full-time role, 40–45 hours weekly with flexible start times (Mon–Fri, occasional Sat) and a company car. Full training will be provided and benefits include pension and 28–30k earnings plus a bonus scheme.

Qualifications

• No prior meter-reading experience required.
• UK manual driving licence (1 year min, max 6 points, no DR offences).
• Physically fit and able to bend, lift, kneel, climb stairs and walk 4–5 miles daily.
• Clear DBS check and no county court judgments within last 6 years.
• 5 years of employment history for reference.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve data from domestic, commercial and industrial meters (Water, Gas, Electric).
• Carry out visual inspections of metering equipment.
• Conduct Charge Point Surveys and record readings accurately.
• Present a friendly, professional service while adhering to Health & Safety guidelines.
