Job summary

Evergreen Exterior Services Ltd is seeking a hands-on nursery assistant for outdoor work in Banstead. The role suits someone who enjoys working outdoors and in a team, with training provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities include maintaining a tidy nursery, organising plant stock, caring for plants, and safely loading/unloading lorries. You will label and present stock, move plants around the site, follow health and safety practices, and support colleagues during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Previous horticultural experience would be beneficial, training can be provided for the right candidate.
• Hands-on outdoor role, able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Keeping the nursery clean, tidy and presentable at all times.
• Laying out and organising plant stock, ensuring plants are placed in the correct locations.
• Maintaining plant health, including watering, pruning and feeding as required.
• Loading and unloading lorries safely and efficiently.
• Ensuring plants are correctly labelled and presented.
• Handling and moving plant stock safely around the nursery.
• Following all Company health and safety procedures and safe working practices.
• Assisting colleagues across the nursery during busy periods.
• Carrying out other reasonable duties around the nursery as required by management.
