Zusammenfassung

Wyre Borough Council is seeking a Gardener to help maintain parks, open spaces and cemeteries to high standards. This hands-on role supports the Area Team Leader in delivering a safe, attractive borough environment for residents and visitors.

You will work as part of a team, use grounds maintenance equipment and uphold health and safety practices. The role is outdoors and involves practical, physical work across Wyre’s green spaces.

Qualifikationen

• Previous experience maintaining parks, open spaces, or similar environments.
• Understandin g of good customer care practices.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Physically able to undertake the duties of the role.
• Commitment to equality, diversity, and the Council’s values.
• Reliable and able to demonstrate a consistent standard of service.

Aufgaben

• Maintain parks, open spaces, cemeteries, and landscaped areas to agreed standards.
• Use a range of grounds maintenance equipment, including hand tools, portable appliances, and ride-on mowers.
• Carry out general horticultural and grounds maintenance tasks across the borough.
• Provide a uniformed, professional presence while undertaking duties.
• Work effectively as part of a team to meet service standards.
• Support safe working practices and contribute to a positive health and safety culture.
• Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role.
