Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is seeking a Grounds Person in Helensburgh to maintain lawns, hedges and beds, operate grounds equipment, and assist with seasonal tasks. The role is full-time and permanent, offering training and a supportive team environment.

The position requires a positive work ethic, ability to work independently or with others, and willingness to work outdoors in all weather. A UK driving licence is desirable and early starts/overtime may apply.

Qualifications

• Previous grounds maintenance or landscaping experience (preferred).
• A positive, proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence (desirable).
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Flexibility for early starts, seasonal overtime and winter on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining lawns, hedges, shrubs and flower beds.
• Carrying out grass cutting, weeding and litter picking duties.
• Operating grounds maintenance tools and machinery safely.
• Supporting seasonal activities such as planting, leaf clearance, gritting and snow clearing.
• Working to high standards while following health & safety requirements at all times.
