Job summary

Kingdom Local Authority Support is recruiting Environmental Enforcement Officers in Welwyn to tackle environmental crime and improve local spaces. This is a hands-on, outdoor role with patrol duties and engagement with the public.

You will enforce regulations on littering, fly-tipping and waste management, issue Fixed Penalty Notices and undertake follow-up visits to ensure compliance. You’ll work 37.5 hours weekly on 5 set days, 07:00–15:00, in Welwyn.

Qualifications

• Confident communicator with strong people skills.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Reliable, proactive and able to work independently.
• Flexible and adaptable approach.
• Own transport is essential.

Responsibilities

• Patrol local areas to identify environmental offences.
• Enforce regulations relating to littering, fly-tipping, and waste management.
• Issue Fixed Penalty Notices and conduct follow-up visits.
• Investigate incidents and gather evidence.
• Respond to public complaints and engage with local stakeholders.
• Prepare case files and support legal processes where required.
• Use surveillance equipment when necessary.
• Promote compliance through public engagement and education.
