Job summary

Keys Education is seeking passionate Outdoor Education Instructors to deliver meaningful outdoor experiences for young people across schools and children’s homes. You’ll help build confidence, resilience, and essential life skills through long-term engagement in the great outdoors.

We welcome applicants whether qualified or just starting out; a Full UK Driving Licence is required and experience in mountain biking, climbing, paddle sports and navigation is valued.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Experience with mountain biking, climbing, paddle sports and navigation is preferred.
• A positive attitude and enthusiasm for outdoor learning are essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outdoor activities that are safe, engaging and deliver high-quality learning outcomes.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and people skills.
• Lead and manage groups with confidence, even in challenging situations.
• Contribute to a supportive and energetic outdoor learning environment.

Salary

£26,436 to £29,500 Full-time, Term-time, or Part-time options available (depending on experience and qualifications)

Key Responsibilities

• As an Outdoor Instructor, you will deliver activities that are safe, engaging, and professionally delivered, ensuring participants achieve high-quality learning outcomes
• Have excellent communication and people skills
• Be confident leading and managing groups, even in challenging situations
• Be motivated, positive, and enthusiastic about outdoor learning
• Ideally have previous experience in a similar role (although attitude and enthusiasm are just as important)
