Job summary

Booth Welsh Ltd is seeking an Outage Planning Engineer to maintain outage plans during execution, updating progress and tracking the critical path to protect schedule integrity. You will manage emergent work and identify improvements required in the plan, coordinating with operations and contractors.

You will contribute to post outage reviews, capture OPEX learning for future plans and support the Lead Planner / Outage Co-ordinator, while exploring outage optimisation opportunities and Pre

Qualifications

• HNC in engineering or relevant technical subject.
• Knowledge of basic planning principles.
• Able to coordinate across different teams and with contractors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain outage plans during execution by updating progress and tracking the critical path.

• Identify errors and improvements required in the plan.
• Work with Operations to revise plans to meet compliance requirements and maximise Defence in Depth.
• Support post outage reviews and capture OPEX learning for future plans.
• Provide support to Lead Planner / Outage Co-ordinator.
• Identify and help deliver outage optimisation opportunities.
• Support activities to deliver Pre Outage Milestone Plans (POMP) for statutory and off-load refuelling outages.

Job description

The Outage Planning Engineer will maintain plans during outage execution phase by updating progress, tracking critical path, building in and managing the impact of emergent work and identifying any errors / improvements required in the plan.

Working with Operations to check and revise plans to maintain Tech Spec and other compliance requirements and to maximise ‘Defence in Depth’

Play a role in post outage reviews, in particular by capturing all relevant OPEX from plan delivery and building the learning into future plans

Provide support to Lead Planner / Outage Co-ordinator

Identify and help to deliver outage optimisation opportunities

Support activities to deliver Pre Outage Milestone Plans (POMP) for both statutory and off load refuelling outages

Essential

• HNC in engineering or relevant technical subject
• Knowledge of basic planning principles
• Able to coordinate across different teams and with different companies and contractors
• Excellent written and verbal communication skill
• Planning experience would be a distinct advantage, especially someone that has used Primevera P6
