Manager – Childcare Services
£14.50 -£15.50 per hour, 38 hours per week.
The Manager will support the delivery of our innovative childcare services, ensuring that the quality standards and the vision, values, and aims of the organisation are fully implemented. They will provide high‑quality childcare in line with all local and national regulations, fostering a safe, engaging and inclusive environment for children.

Community Connector – Women’s Homelessness Service (Midlothian)
We are seeking a Community Connector to support women who have experienced homelessness and multiple disadvantages. The role focuses on building recovery capital, facilitating group work and community engagement, and improving access to local services and resources.
- Provide 1:1 relational support using tools such as Outcome Star to set and review goals.
- Facilitate co‑designed group activities that promote wellbeing, creativity and peer support.
- Build connections with local partners (e.g. Women’s Aid, recovery networks, community groups).
- Advocate alongside women to ensure their voices are heard and rights are respected.
- Work in a trauma‑informed, gender‑responsive and strengths‑based way.
Qualifications and experience:
- Experience supporting people facing disadvantage or exclusion.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build trust, deliver 1:1 support and facilitate group sessions.
- Understanding of the impact of homelessness and multiple disadvantage on women.
- Compassionate, resilient and committed to inclusion and empowerment.
- A driver with access to a car is essential.
Senior Support Worker – Learning Disability and Neurodiversity (Edinburgh)
The service provides practical and emotional support to adults with mental health diagnoses. The role requires the application of best practice, effective support plans and the facilitation of user‑led services.
- Apply best practice, codes of practice and current regulations in the social care sector.
- Manage and co‑produce support plans and contribute to support reviews.
- Assist Service Managers and Team Leaders with service referrals and staff interviewing & selection procedures.
- Take on the role of shift leader in the absence of the Service Manager.
- Assist in managing a team of Support Workers by reviewing the delivery of support and ensuring staff are following correct policy and procedures.
Essential experience, qualifications and skills:
- Experience of providing support to people who have experienced homelessness, mental ill health and drug and alcohol use.
- Experience of working in a fast‑paced environment which requires a dynamic approach to problem solving.
- SVQ3 in Social Care or willingness to work towards it.
- SSSC registered or willing to become so.
- Experience of using empathy and relational skills to build positive relationships within our community and with colleagues.
- An understanding of and ability to work within ethical and relational boundaries.
Desired experience, qualifications and skills:
- Experience of working with a range of agencies as a team.
- Networking and skills making meaningful connections.
- Awareness around Trauma Informed Practice.
- Assisted/Mental Health First Aid trained.
- Naloxone trained.
- Knowledge and understanding of the causes of homelessness, substance use and mental health including Attachment Theory and Adverse Childhood Experiences.
- Understanding of services that support homelessness, substance use and mental health.
- Experience in line managing a team.
Support Worker – Accommodation Services (Kirkintilloch, East Dunbartonshire)
A Support Worker works as part of a team to provide safe, secure and supported accommodation for homeless people. The role requires practical and emotional support and encouragement to achieve personal outcomes in daily life.
- Support, review, monitor and evaluate through our case management system to achieve a positive person‑centred outcome for the people we work with in line with statutory and legislative requirements.
- Maintain and update all recording systems and documentation in line with relevant policies, procedures and practice guidelines.
- Plan and facilitate key work meetings, sessions and reviews in conjunction with the person’s support plan.
- Provide general advocacy and advice to the people we support, including assistance to enable them to meet the conditions of the occupancy agreements.
Qualifications and experience:
- 1 year of experience working with vulnerable people and challenging behaviour (personal, voluntary or professional experience).
- Commitment and ability to undertake care practice in accordance with SSSC code of practice, National Care Standards, Scottish Commission for the Regulation of Care and the Association’s policies and procedures.
- Ability to relate empathetically to people and recognise their right to choice and independence.
- Ability to work flexibly and as a lone worker.
- Able to use Microsoft or equivalent applications competently.
- Ideally hold an SVQ level 2 or above and be willing to work towards an SVQ 3.
