Job summary

A leading NHS Trust in Greater London is seeking an Out of Hours Paediatrician. This role involves providing expert advice during forensic medical examinations for children, collaborating with police and care agencies. The position requires flexible availability for shifts and maintaining high standards in safeguarding protocols. The ideal candidate will hold an MRCPCH, possess extensive experience in paediatrics, and be adept at working in multidisciplinary teams. Qualifications

• Wide experience in general and/or community paediatrics as a consultant paediatrician.
• Experience and competency in paediatric ano-genital examination managing child sexual abuse cases.
• Knowledge and experience of Child Protection and safeguarding processes.

Responsibilities

• Clinical assessment and examination of children during forensic medical examinations.
• Provide immediate responses to police inquiries regarding forensic medical examinations.
• Attend court and provide unbiased evidence as necessary.
