Job summary

Practice Plus Group is seeking a General Practitioner to deliver urgent care out of hours across evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. The role offers flexible session patterns and opportunities for professional development within a supportive team.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, support patients with urgent medical needs, and ensure safe, high-quality care outside regular hours. DBS check and references required.

Qualifications

• GMC registration and UK licence to practice.
• Experience in Out of Hours settings is essential.
• Proven experience using the Adastra clinical system for patient records.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to manage a diverse caseload.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical assessments and management for urgent care outside normal hours.
• Manage varied caseload including acute minor illness and injuries.
• Record consultations accurately using the Adastra system.
• Collaborate with nurses, paramedics and admin staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Refer to secondary care and ensure patient safety through sound clinical decisions.
• Participate in audits, governance activities and CPD.
