Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in the United Kingdom seeks an OT/IT Solution Architect to bridge OT and IT through integrated solutions using Digital Twins, IoT, and industry protocols. You will design architectures, select cloud services on Azure/AWS, and automate tasks with Python scripts and VMs.

Lead complex projects across Engineering, Operations, OT and IT, while keeping pace with Industry 4.0 trends. Collaboration across departments and a focus on security and digital transformation are key.

Qualifications

• Experience in solution architecture within engineering, OT, manufacturing or telecommunications environments.
• Strong knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies (IoT, analytics, AR/VR, asset tracking, cyber security, digital twins, digital control towers).
• Ability to lead complex projects through lifecycle from requirements to handover/knowledge transfer.
• Experience in large-scale organisations; teamwork, organisation and time management.
• Experience in business transformation projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of Industrial Automation and control systems.
• Expertise in OT network protocols (Modbus, Profinet, Profibus, OPC UA, MQTT).
• Experience with Azure and AWS cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design integrated OT solutions using Digital Twins, IoT and industrial protocols.
• Select and configure Azure or AWS services based on project requirements.
• Develop and implement Python scripts and Virtual Machines to automate tasks.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, OT and IT to align technical solutions with business needs.
• Stay current with OT/IT convergence and emerging technologies.
