Capgemini Engineering in the United Kingdom seeks an IT/OT Data Architect to define and govern how OT/SCADA data is structured and used across real-time operations and cloud analytics. You will align OT data domains with the client’s Azure data lake and IT/OT convergence strategy.
You will design cloud-based solutions, set governance standards, and engage stakeholders across operations, engineering, and leadership to ensure secure, scalable data assets.
The IT/OT Data Architect defines and governs how operational technology (OT) and SCADA data is structured, integrated, and managed across the enterprise to support resilient operations, regulatory reporting, and advanced analytics. Operating at practice and enterprise scale, the role ensures industrial data is consistently modelled, secure, and fit for use across real‑time operations and cloud-based analytics platforms, aligning OT data domains with our client’s Azure data lake and broader IT/OT convergence strategy.
You’ll bring strong experience working with industrial and operational data in asset intensive, regulated environments, with a solid understanding of how SCADA, historian, telemetry, and event/alarm data are modelled, integrated, and used at scale. You’re comfortable designing cloud based data and analytics solutions—particularly on Microsoft Azure—and understand modern IT/OT convergence patterns, including unified namespace concepts and standards such as OPC UA and MQTT. You combine technical depth with the ability to define pragmatic OT data governance and confidently engage stakeholders across operations, engineering, and leadership.
