Job summary

Chiltern Wood School is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support children aged 4-19 with developmental, physical and sensory needs in a special school setting. You will work with experienced Therapists and Technicians to deliver focused therapy for motor skills, independence and self-regulation to enable curriculum access.

Join a multidisciplinary team in a nurturing environment with opportunities to develop skills within integrated therapy across three sites and dedicated staff

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a health and social care, educational or childcare environment
• Basic understanding of child development
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to prioritise workload effectively and work independently
• Must have a full valid UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle

Responsibilities

• Support children and young people aged 4-19 with developmental, physical and sensory needs
• Work with School Occupational Therapists to deliver whole class and small group interventions
• Develop functional motor and independence skills and support regulation for curriculum access
