Job summary

Fortius Clinic is seeking a Theatre Practitioner to join a fast-paced theatre team, delivering scrub and circulating duties for orthopaedic and spinal procedures. The role focuses on perioperative care, patient safety, and collaborative care within a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate holds NMC/HCPC registration and a degree-level qualification, with at least two years in operating theatres and experience in both scrub and circulating roles.

Responsibilities

• Support patients throughout the perioperative journey in Scrub and Circulating roles.
• Maintain sterility and anticipate the surgeon's needs during procedures.
• Prepare and manage instruments, implants and equipment for orthopaedic and spinal cases.
• Champion infection prevention and theatre governance.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists, recovery teams and ward staff.
• Contribute to service improvements and patient outcomes.
• Mentor colleagues, students and new team members.
