Job summary

Quick Medix is recruiting an experienced Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse for temporary theatre requirements in Newport, South Wales. The role requires NMC registration and prior orthopaedic theatre experience, with the ability to work within a surgical team on a full-time, on-site basis.

Qualifications

• NMC registration as a Registered Nurse is required.
• Prior orthopaedic theatre scrub experience is essential.
• Competence with orthopaedic instruments and sterile technique is required.
• Strong communication and teamwork within a surgical setting are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide scrub nursing support during orthopaedic procedures.
• Prepare and maintain sterile instruments and theatre environment.
• Assist surgeons during elective and trauma orthopaedic operations within competency.
• Maintain accurate counts and theatre documentation.
• Adhere to infection prevention and patient safety protocols.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists and theatre team.
