Job summary

Aligndent Grove House is seeking a qualified Orthodontic Therapist to join the dental team in Ashford. You will work under the prescription of a Specialist Orthodontist to provide high-quality orthodontic care and support to patients.

Responsibilities include placing and adjusting orthodontic appliances, taking impressions and scans, and maintaining meticulous records while upholding infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Orthodontic Therapy and registered or eligible with the GDC.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a dental team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out orthodontic treatments under the prescription of an orthodontist or dentist.
• Place and adjust orthodontic archwires, brackets, and other appliances.
• Take dental impressions, intraoral scans, and clinical photographs.
• Fit orthodontic bands and attachments as prescribed.
• Remove orthodontic appliances and prepare teeth surfaces after treatment.
• Provide oral hygiene advice and instructions on maintaining orthodontic appliances.
• Monitor treatment progress and report concerns to the supervising orthodontist.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and patient documentation.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, health and safety, and clinical governance standards.

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Orthodontic Therapist to join our friendly and professional dental team. The successful candidate will work under the prescription of a Specialist Orthodontist to provide high-quality orthodontic care and support to patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out orthodontic treatments under the prescription of an orthodontist or dentist.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience working in an orthodontic practice.
• Knowledge of digital orthodontic systems and intraoral scanners.
