A healthcare provider in West Midlands is seeking an Organisational Development Practitioner to enhance staff engagement and experience. The role involves designing and delivering engaging programs, working collaboratively with various teams to ensure a motivated workforce aligned with business objectives. Candidates should have relevant qualifications and experience in organizational development within the NHS or similar environments.
Working as a partnership, both Isle of Wight NHS Trust and Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust have a shared vision for excellence in care for our patients and communities; with a set of strategic aims underpinning how we will achieve this.
The single corporate service is delivered across both organisation. You may be based at either IWT or PHU and individuals may be required to undertake business travel between sites. For leaders managing staff across multi-site locations, you will need to be visible and provide in person leadership. The arrangements and frequency will be agreed locally.

NHS Band 6 - Salary £38,682 - £46,580 per annum

We are excited to be recruiting for an Organisational Development (OD) Practitioner within the Organisational Development team within the Single Corporate Service. In this role, you will support the design and delivery across a range of OD programmes and interventions. Working closely with other OD practitioners, OD leads and wider stakeholders throughout the organisation to make our Trusts a great place to work.
With a flair for creativity and innovation, you will utilise your unique set of skills to support delivery of a range of OD programmes and initiatives across the organisations from agreeing the approach to evaluation of impact.
You will be responsible for day-to-day delivery of staff engagement and staff experience activity across both organisations to ensure that they have a motivated, engaged, and high performing workforce aligned to its business objectives and clinical strategies.
You will work with the Organisational Development Lead Experience and Retention to design, deliver and evaluate staff engagement strategies to support the People & Organisational Development Strategy and ensuring that both Trusts are equipped to provide excellence in care for patients and communities; and provide a work environment that staff would recommend as a great place to work. Including but not limited to: annual and quarterly staff surveys, staff benefits and retention strategies, reward and recognition and activities to develop employee engagement and organisational culture. You will be required to work closely with stakeholders including Communications, Improvement, People & OD Department and Learning and Development colleagues to ensure a joined-up approach to staff experience and retention.

Knowledge of specialist OD/HR topics to postgraduate diploma level acquired through degree and professional HR Qualification or equivalent level of training experience.
Level 3 or equivalent trainer/facilitator qualification
Evidence of continuous personal professional development
Coaching or Mentoring Qualification, MBTI, HLM360 Facilitator
Working in the NHS or equivalent large organisation
Experience of design and delivery of engagement activities to understand staff experience
Experience of design and delivery of team development activities and facilitating bespoke learning with multi professional teams
Working with a diverse range of people in a challenging environment
Successfully managing and supporting project management in a complex organisation
