Order processing clerk

Temp role until end of January 2026 with a view of being extended after this period

Part time hours 9.00am - 3.00pm

Mansfield, Nottinghamshire

£12.60 per hour depending on experience

You will be part of the customer service team processing and chasing customer orders this is a key role within the organisation, ensuring that clients' expectations are exceeded.

We are looking for a candidate who shows a genuine can‑do attitude and the ability to listen and digest information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting and managing the team to create quotes, ordering samples and following up on customer quotations.
  • Inputting data to ensure customer information is maintained.
  • Providing a link between production, suppliers and the customer to ensure that the agreed upon deadline is met.
  • Liaising with team members to provide support in maintaining, growing and developing accounts.
  • Proactively creating a rapport with customers to become their trusted advisor to develop accounts.
Skills and Experience
  • Ability to work to be consistently accurate and demonstrate an attention to detail while working to a high standard.
  • Self‑motivated, able to work well on an individual basis as well as part of a team.
  • Show good problem‑solving skills and being able to identify a solution in a fast‑moving environment.
  • Able to take in information whilst building upon stable relationships.
  • Previous experience within a similar role is essential.
  • Influencing skills, able to gain commitment from others within the team to deliver and from clients to meet their requirements.
  • Proactive attitude, finding the best options for the client and seeing the projection through to completion.
